A WEDDING STORY
This is the play for which my college won the 1st prize in Firodiya Karandak 2017. I represented the college as a violinist in the band.

The play is in Marathi language. It is a simple story of a young engaged couple who are shooting a pre wedding film about how they met and their journey till now. During this time they realize that they haven’t discussed some important issues about their future and their aspirations, and wonder if they’re rushing into the decision of marrying each other.
The songs and backgrounds in the play were performed by our band live on stage. Two are original compositions and the rest are modified versions of existing songs. 'Instrumental song' and 'classical' are the original compositions. The song 'Dil Beperwah' is a good example of how we've modified the original song by Prateek Kuhad. I apologize for the bad audio recording quality in the first song. It was a technical fault which disappointed us too.

ABOUT FIRODIYA KARANDAK
Started 43 years back, the main aim of the competition is to give a platform for college students to showcase their artistic musings. The competition slowly evolved from being a drama competition to one where elements like, sculpture, pottery, painting, orchestra, puppet dancing, and a host of other such events, were incorporated. Everything is live. Be it songs, background scores, dances or art. The whole idea behind Firodiya Karandak is, ‘Cinema on Stage’.
